Birkdale & Ainsdale

The theme for this month is: "Hoax" Deadline for submissions: 17 December 2026

Do you enjoy painting or drawing? Perhaps you've always wanted to give it a try but never quite got around to it?

The National u3a Art Challenge is a wonderful opportunity to get creative, try something new and share your artwork with others.

Every month, a new theme is announced, giving members the inspiration to produce their own original painting or drawing.

You don't have to be an experienced artist – just have a go and enjoy yourself!

It's easy to get involved:

Discover the theme – visit the National u3a Art Challenge website to see the latest monthly topic.
Get creative – produce your own painting or drawing inspired by the theme.
Take a photograph – capture your finished artwork.
Submit your entry – upload your photograph to the National u3a online gallery.

Up to 15 artworks are selected for publication each month.

We would love to see what our members create!

Please send a copy of your finished artwork to our Webmaster for possible inclusion in our own website gallery.

It would be lovely to build up a collection showcasing the artistic talents, imagination and creativity of our members.

Submit just one photograph of your artwork.
Please ensure there are no recognisable people in the photograph.
There are no prizes or competitions – the real pleasure is in creating something and sharing it with others.

Whether you're a budding artist, an occasional doodler or someone who simply enjoys being creative, why not join in?</escape>
